The Federal Bureau of Prisons confirmed to TMZ that Diddy was moved from FCI Fort Dix on October 16. The transfer came days after his October 10 medical emergency. An ambulance reportedly took him to a medical facility for treatment. The Bureau of Prisons did not disclose the reason for Diddy’s transfer. However, the rapper had reportedly committed several disciplinary violations during his time at FCI Fort Dix.
According to the outlet, prison staff issued Diddy multiple disciplinary reports for phone violations and fighting. He was reportedly placed in the Special Housing Unit on two occasions for disciplinary reasons. The Fort Dix facility holds around 4,000 inmates, compared with around 1,000 at Allenwood.
Citing sources, TMZ reported that Diddy lost 41 days of good-time credit, which can reduce an inmate’s prison sentence. He also reportedly lost 400 days of commissary privileges. It was earlier reported that Diddy allegedly had a cellphone. He also reportedly received massages and had access to alcohol and fancy meals while in prison.
According to AP, his spokesperson, Juda Engelmayer, said, “Decisions about inmate placement are made by the BOP, and we are not in a position to speak to the circumstances surrounding this transfer. Sean remains focused on moving forward, and we hope that his time at the new facility will be productive and without unnecessary disruption.”
Diddy is serving a 50-month federal prison sentence. A New York jury convicted him on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution in July 2025. However, the jury acquitted him of sex trafficking and racketeering charges. The Grammy winner was previously expected to leave prison on January 21, 2028. His latest projected release date is March 2.
