Line of Fire Trailer: 9-1-1’s Peter Krause Leads New NBC TV Show Law & Order Fans Will Love

NBC has revealed the official trailer for its new TV show, Line of Fire, led by Peter Krause. The 9-1-1 star will play a Secret Service agent in the upcoming political drama series.

The official synopsis for Line of Fire reads, “When a murder that first seems open-and-shut entangles the family in a deadly conspiracy, each Hollingsworth must draw upon their professional skills — and their bonds with each other — to find the killer. And it may mean breaking a few rules in the process.”

Emmy nominees Peter Krause and Hope Davis will be seen playing a Secret Service agent and a federal marshal, respectively. Taylor Bloom, Kat Cunning, and Tommy O’Brien will play their kids, who work in law enforcement.

Interestingly, the Line of Fire trailer may remind fans of another popular law-enforcement series, Law & Order.

The upcoming NBC show will portray a family coming together, setting their differences aside to handle cases for the FBI, US Marshals, Secret Service, and the Department of Justice. After a mysterious case turns into a deadly conspiracy, the family will need to use their expertise from their work experience of saving civilians and politicians in order to save themselves and find the killer.

Krause said about Line of Fire, “It’s really just been a great experience because the show works in so many different ways,” during NBCUniversal’s Backlot Pass event earlier this month. The actor has previously worked on ABC’s first-responder procedural, 9-1-1.

He added, “It’s suspenseful. There’s some action‑thriller elements. There is crime solving by crime solvers. There’s also a lot of, you know, family dynamics to explore, and there’s some surprising comedy in the show as well.”

Line of Fire premieres September 21, 2026, on NBC.
