Adam Driver and Scarlett Johansson‘s Paper Tiger just got a brand new teaser trailer. It has further piqued fans’ interest significantly.
The movie is already hyped up following its performance at the Cannes Film Festival. Competing for the Palme d’Or, Paper Tiger impressed audiences so much that it reportedly received a standing ovation lasting nearly 10 minutes. Owing to such impressive reviews, the film has also been selected as the opening movie for the New York Film Festival. Directed by James Gray, Paper Tiger is speculated to have a stunning Oscar run.
The synopsis provided by NEON reads, “In James Gray’s deeply felt and intense drama, two brothers become entangled in a scheme that turns out to be too good to be true. As they try to navigate their way through the dangerous world of the Russian mafia, family bonds begin to fray with life-altering consequences.”

What do we see in the new Paper Tiger trailer?
The teaser trailer has an intense tone right from the beginning. Both Driver and Johansson were seen sharing tense moments in the teaser, offering a glimpse of how the thrills are woven throughout the movie.
The upcoming crime drama film also stars Miles Teller, who will portray Driver’s brother. Set in the 1980s New York City, the plot will explore how both brothers get involved with a Russian mafia gang. Black Widow actor Johansson plays Teller’s wife. Interestingly, this particular role was initially supposed to be played by Anne Hathaway.
Alongside Driver, Johansson, and Teller, Paper Tiger will also feature Elena Solovey, Victor Ptak, Roman Engel, Gavin Goudey, Patrick Murney, Joel Marsh Garland, Cindy Katz, Jeff Adler, and Dimiter D. Marinov.
The film’s director, Gray, has previously worked on projects like The Lost City of Z, Two Lovers, and Immigrant. Paper Tiger is set to hit the theaters on November 13, 2026.
