Ted Lasso star Juno Temple revealed that she has secretly gotten married. She also recently disclosed where she met her partner and how their love story started. The couple have mostly kept their lives away from the limelight, but announced their engagement in 2024.
Juno Temple confirms she married actor Michal Szymanski
In a recent conversation on Virgin Radio UK’s TFI Unplugged podcast, Temple shared that she married Michal Szymanski in secret in the “last two years.” She also mentioned that they bought a home together. Revealing when she met her husband, she said that it was at the time when she was filming Ted Lasso Season 2. At the time, Szymanski worked as a driver for co-star Hannah Waddingham.
Waddingham said Hannah asked her if she should ask Szymanski for a date, and she eventually encouraged her, calling him a “gorgeous man.” “He was driving Hannah. They had a secret code where I could go meet them and accidentally Hannah’s appointments would run over,” Temple added.
However, Waddingham willingly approved and was happy for the couple. The 37-year-old confirmed that she’s engaged in 2024, when in an interview with the Los Angeles Times she referred to Szymanski as her fiancé.
Just like Temple, her husband is also an actor who has been in the industry for over a decade. According to IMDb, his career began in 2015, when he starred and became a production assistant in a short called To My Father. Since then, he has added several interesting projects to his resume, such as Lombard: Zycie pod zastaw, Kasta, Miasto dlugów, First Love, Dzielnica strachu, and others. Moreover, he served as additional crew for the video game Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3. The couple has, however, never shied away from showcasing their support for each other. For instance, Szymanski has been by Temple’s side on several red carpet events, including the Ted Lasso Season 4 premiere.
