Fox is splitting its hit TV show’s third season into a whopping 101 episodes. This is a first for Fox, as the network will reformat an entire season of its primetime TV reality show into episodes averaging under two minutes each. It will then put these episodes on Holywater’s My Drama app.
What Fox TV show is getting its third season turned into 101 episodes?
Farmer Wants a Wife is the hit Fox TV show, whose third season is getting entirely reformatted. Based on the British show of the same name, the reality TV series follows bachelor farmers as they search for a wife among a group of single women from the city.
The third season of the Fox TV show comprises 11 episodes. It was hosted by Kimberly Williams-Paisley and saw four farmers courting eight women each. Calling it a “mobile-first binge experiment,” Fox confirmed that the series would be a microdrama. This would be in line with the My Drama app’s show format.
The vertical version of Season 3 will be launched on the app when the Season 4 finale airs on Fox on June 9. The microdrama release of the Fox TV show will be promoted through on-air promos during the broadcast.
A QR code will be featured on the screen during the Season 4 finale broadcast. According to Fox, anyone who scans it will receive enough My Drama app coins to watch the entirety for free. My Drama app users without the QR code will still be able to view around 80 episodes for free. However, they will need to purchase coins to watch the full series.

The move to reformat the show into a microdrama is a broader push by Fox to expand My Drama’s US footprint. Fox partly owns its parent company, Holywater. The strategic move stems from Fox’s plan to incorporate premium unscripted series onto the platform.
Commenting on the choice to onboard Farmer Wants a Wife to the My Drama app to Variety, a representative said the show “gave us a natural opportunity to explore that because it already has many of the elements that work well in vertical storytelling — romance, emotional stakes, relationships, suspense, and compelling cliffhangers. More broadly, we’re interested in learning how great IP can evolve as audience habits evolve.”
The vertical version of Farmer Wants a Wife Season 3 will premiere on the My Drama app on June 9, 2026.
