MobLand Season 2 Release Date Gets Good & Bad News From Guy Ritchie

Guy Ritchie has given an update on the release date of MobLand Season 2, and the news is decidedly mixed. The producer and director confirmed when the Tom Hardy crime drama will be back.

MobLand Season 2 release date won’t be in 2027, but in end of 2026

MobLand Season 2 will release before the end of 2026, ruling out a lengthy wait until 2027. But for fans hoping to see new episodes this summer, the timeline points to a longer hold than early production wraps had suggested.

Ritchie mapped out a busy release schedule to ScreenRant that has MobLand in the latter part of the year. “We’ve got MobLand before the end of the year,” he said. The update is the first time someone directly involved has narrowed the release date window since a Paramount+ promo voiced by Helen Mirren teased the return.

Filming wrapped in March 2026 after roughly six months of production across Spain and London. Set photos from December 2025 showed Pierce Brosnan and Mirren in costume on location. By February, leaked photos showed Hardy shooting along the River Thames with Joanne Froggatt.

Cast members began confirming the wrap in March, with Emmett J. Scanlan, who plays enforcer Paul O’Donnell, telling followers on Instagram the experience was “genuinely extraordinary” and describing Season 2 as “Season 1 on steroids.”

The speed of MobLand’s production had raised hopes of a quicker turnaround for Season 2. Season 1 premiered just days after filming finished, so a summer launch seemed plausible once the wrap was announced. Ritchie’s comments now suggest post-production will take considerably longer this time around.

Hardy has already teased where the story might head in MobLand Season 2. “The plan is definitely to see more seasons. The question is: does it become international?” He expanded on the idea to Collider, pointing to the cross-border reality of organised crime and how families across Europe compete for influence over trafficking routes.

All in all, the MobLand Season 2 official release date is yet to be announced.
