Manganiello plays Mr. 0, also known as Sir Crocodile, in the Netflix adaptation. His character leads Baroque Works, a criminal organization central to the Alabasta storyline. During the interview, Manganiello explained how the second season sets up his character’s role in the story.

“Well, I’m at the very end [of Season 2], you find out… all these things are happening, and you don’t know who’s behind it, and at the end it’s me,” Manganiello shared with Fallon. “And then Season 3, which we just spent six months shooting in Cape Town, South Africa, will come out sometime next year, and then my plan unfolds.”

On the show, Manganiello also spoke about a medical crisis that left him fighting for his life. He described experiencing symptoms over an extended period before his condition became an emergency. Doctors initially struggled to identify the cause, and he eventually underwent urgent surgery.

Meanwhile, Netflix has confirmed that the third season is titled One Piece: The Battle of Alabasta. The story follows Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat crew as they help Princess Vivi protect her homeland from a growing rebellion. Crocodile and Baroque Works are central to the conflict threatening the desert kingdom.

The production for the project began in Cape Town in November 2025 and wrapped in 2026. Meanwhile, Manganiello, Lera Abova, Mikaela Hoover, and Sendhil Ramamurthy have been promoted to series regulars. Netflix has confirmed that the season will premiere in 2027, although an exact release date has yet to be announced.
