Netflix is wasting no time in securing the future of one of its global hits. The streamer has renewed the series for another season, sooner than expected.
The Hunting Wives has landed an early Season 3 renewal, a month ahead of its Season 2 premiere on November 26. The third season will also have eight episodes. However, cast details and release date remain under wraps for now.
Teasing Season 3 in a recent statement, the show’s creator, Rebecca Cutter, said, “I’m so stoked to be heading back to Maple Brook, and I promise that once you’ve finished season two, you’ll be desperate to see what happens next. Buckle up, because season three will be even more scandalous and twisted.”
How The Hunting Wives became one of Netflix’s biggest breakout hits
The Hunting Wives is a drama series based on the novel of the same name by May Cobb. The debut season premiered on July 21, 2025, and followed Sophie, who moves to the fictional East Texas town of Maple Brook with her family. There, she meets Margo, a socialite who draws her into the glamorous yet dangerous world of her elite clique, the “Hunting Wives.”
As Sophie becomes entangled in a treacherous web of secrets and obsessions, things take a grim turn when a teenage girl is found dead at the spot where the ladies often gather in the woods.
The sultry thriller quickly became a streaming hit with special praise for the performances of lead stars Brittany Snow and Malin Akerman. The first season became the most-viewed streaming series in the U.S. It also stayed in Nielsen’s top 10 chart of streaming originals for six weeks straight.
With Season 2 approaching this Thanksgiving, Cutter hinted that fans should prepare for another massive cliffhanger ending, while Snow teased in a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight that another major character death lies ahead.
