Billion Creators & Martin Scorsese’s Netflix Show Gets Update After 3 Months — Report

Netflix’s upcoming Las Vegas-set drama from Billions creators Brian Koppelman and David Levien has received a new update regarding its potential release timeline. The series, which has Martin Scorsese attached as an executive producer, is currently in development at the streaming service. However, as of now, there is no official confirmation about its production timeline.

New report says Billions creators’ untitled Vegas TV show will start filming in May

A new issue of Production Weekly suggests that an upcoming Las Vegas-based drama from Brian Koppelman and David Levien could begin production in May 2026. The series, currently in development at Netflix, remains in the pre-production stage. Though the reported timeline offers a clearer indication of progress, it has not been officially confirmed and may still change.

The series will reportedly be set within the modern casino industry in Las Vegas, focusing on the inner workings of a high-profile hotel and gaming operation. It will focus on the story of Robert “Bobby Red” Redman, the president of a leading casino property, who is tasked with maintaining control in a highly competitive environment while attempting to expand his influence.

Koppelman and Levien, best known for their work on Billions, are attached as writers, showrunners, and executive producers. The production also includes Martin Scorsese as an executive producer, marking another collaboration between the iconic filmmaker and Netflix. He will produce through his company, Sikelia Productions. Additional executive producers include Julie Yorn, Rick Yorn, Paul Schiff, Beth Schacter, and Kerry Orent.

The series is planned as an eight-episode drama, with each episode expected to run approximately 60 minutes. At present, no casting details have been announced, though further updates are anticipated as the project moves closer to production.

Originally announced in December 2025, the series has continued to progress through development. If filming begins in 2026 and proceeds as expected, the show could be released on Netflix sometime in 2027.
