The release window for Ted Lasso Season 4 has been narrowed, with the new season potentially arriving in August. Speaking to Deadline on the BAFTA Film Awards red carpet, Hannah Waddingham shared an update on the timing of the Apple TV series’ return. “August, I think,” she said, before adding, “Am I allowed to say August? What if I’m wrong? I think it’s August.”

Apple TV had previously confirmed that the fourth season would premiere in summer 2026. Production on the new episodes is currently underway in London. Apple TV did not comment on Waddingham’s remarks about the potential August debut.

Waddingham also previewed what viewers can expect from the upcoming installment. “It’s a whole different deal with our Lady Greyhounds,” she said about Season 4. She added, “I can’t wait for everyone to see what they’ve come up with.” The new season shifts focus to a women’s football team, with Ted returning to Richmond to coach a second division side.

Jason Sudeikis reprises his role as Ted Lasso and continues as an executive producer. Returning cast members include Hannah Waddingham, Brendan Hunt, Juno Temple, Jeremy Swift, and Brett Goldstein. New additions this season include Tanya Reynolds, Rex Hayes, Grant Feely, Aisling Sharkey, and Abbie Hern.

Grant Feely will portray Ted’s son, Henry, in a recast role. Phil Dunster will not return as a main cast member due to scheduling conflicts. On the other hand, Jack Burditt has joined as the executive producer alongside Sudeikis, Bill Lawrence, Joe Kelly, and Brendan Hunt as the series moves into its fourth season.
