Michael trailer has fans talking

In the years since Michael Jackson’s demise, his musical journey has inspired numerous biopics. However, the new one might be the most groundbreaking so far since it stars his own nephew, who has not only nailed his voice but also his mannerisms. This has left fans thrilled to witness the real-life story once again.

Fans flooded X (formerly Twitter) with their thoughts. Some even joked that the audience would start dancing when the music started playing in the theaters. Referring to Jaafar Jackson’s performance, user @Upendra_0326 commented, “The way he moves… that is genetic memory. You can’t teach that level of precision. We are witnessing a resurrection.”

User @biojuho remarked, “The visuals look absolutely stunning! Jaafar Jackson seems to have captured Michael’s essence perfectly. Can’t wait to see this on the big screen in April.” Another fan with the username @english_shamar wrote, “It looks like they really nailed this Michael Jackson biopic. Award season should be great for them.”

In an emotional comment, user @hassankhaliid wrote, “Watched it with the volume up and my childhood came running back crying. That voice. Those moves. That sparkle in the eyes. Jaafar didn’t just play Michael… he became him for 2½ minutes. We’re not ready.”

Besides Jaafar, Colman Domingo, Nia Long, Laura Harrier, Juliano Krue Valdi, and Miles Teller also star in the film. Acclaimed documentary filmmaker Antoine Fuqua has directed the film from a script by Academy Award-nominated screenwriter John Logan.
