Zendaya reportedly wants Sydney Sweeney to be ‘away’ from fiancé Tom Holland
As the HBO series gears up for its long-awaited Season 3, behind-the-scenes drama involving Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, and Tom Holland is reportedly resurfacing. Holland’s reportedly friendly interactions with Sweeney during filming last year became a sensitive point for Zendaya, who is said to already be at odds with her co-star.
Per As Star, Zendaya was displeased when Holland and Sweeney struck up conversations on the Euphoria set. The insider claims the interactions felt “unnecessary at best and disrespectful at worst.” Especially given the alleged rift between Zendaya and Sweeney, who reportedly avoid each other altogether.
Holland, who reportedly proposed to Zendaya in late 2024, frequently visited the set before filming wrapped in November. The source stresses that his behavior was neither flirtatious nor inappropriate, noting that the actor is naturally outgoing. “Tom is very friendly and chatty, so when he’s around, he makes an effort with everyone — that’s just who he is,” the insider claimed.
Still, the source alleged that Zendaya’s discomfort stemmed from trust issues explicitly related to Sweeney. She is not attempting to control who Holland speaks to. However, Zendaya reportedly does not want someone she “doesn’t necessarily trust getting close to her fiancé.”
Zendaya and Sweeney are expected to reunite soon to promote Euphoria season 3, which premieres on April 12, 2026. According to the source, if Holland appears at promotional events or the red carpet premiere, Sweeney has effectively been warned to keep her distance.
