For many of us, our early teen years were defined by television. ABC's TGIF filled every Friday night and brought families together with programming that we could all relate to in completely different ways. Then, of course, we'd get up every Saturday morning (because Tivo was still a twinkle in eye of Al Gore or whoever invented it) to watch the shows that were specifically geared towards us gullible tweens. The one that took advantage of our gullibility the most was "Saved by the Bell." As mindlessly positive and upbeat as it was, sometimes the show had to take some liberties in its writing. Let's be honest, they lied to us. Things happened that aren't even plausible, let alone believable, ...

Some men will do anything if the price is right. A lot of those men are lawyers. The “amoral attorney” is a common television and movie trope but there’s a bunch that stand out from the pack because they’re especially willing to divorce the law for a buck or simply don’t have any qualms about abetting criminals. Sure we could call them corrupt but “morally repugnant” is equally accurate and hits more at the heart of what we’re after: abominable behavior. *POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD* Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) in "Breaking Bad" Saul has to be the most likable of ...

by Christina Austin With the recent alleged sex scandal involving Kevin Clash, the voice of Elmo, fans of "Sesame Street" have begun to see their beloved show in a very different light. While the under age sex allegations have since been dropped and a new one has come to light, the scandal has cast a shadow over what is supposed to be a colorful, kid-friendly show. The show's 43-year history has been riddled with scandals, ranging from the more recent Katy Perry appearance debacle to the long-time rumors about Bert and ...

"Seinfeld" is one of the definitive prime-time comedies in the history of television. As the show's star, Jerry Seinfeld helped usher in a new style of comedy based on simple observations. To this day, you can watch just about any episode of the show and find yourself laughing. It hasn't aged a bit.  Jerry's wardrobe, on the other hand, has not held up nearly as well. Very few people would be proud of how they dressed 20 years ago. Unfortunately for Seinfeld, his mid-'90s outfits are on our televisions every day. Now that Seinfeld is back with a new Web series, "Comedians in Cars Getting ...

Whether you’re a 99-percenter or a 1-percenter, it’s your God-given right to hate anyone who makes more money than you do. Shouldn’t the same apply to the characters you watch on television? We think so—which is why, after consulting with two Hollywood insiders intimately familiar with TV-industry salaries, we’re going to have a tough time empathizing with those delightful morons on 30 Rock from here on out. Yes, even Kenneth. We really need a raise. ...
