What to know about Carrie Season 2 and Mike Flanagan’s return
Mike Flanagan will be back for Carrie Season 2 as the showrunner and executive producer, alongside Stephen King. This means fans can expect the same, consistent haunting experience seen in the first season.
Carrie Season 1 tells the reimagined tale of King’s seminal story, but with new depth and complexity to its iconic characters. The plot explores the forces that shape Carrie White as she navigates the cruelty and pressures of the modern world.
“Carrie is connecting with both longtime Stephen King fans and a new generation altogether — including young adults and international audiences, with particular strength among female viewers,” said Amazon MGM Studios’ Head of Global Television, Peter Friedlander. “It speaks to the enduring power of this story and signals that Mike Flanagan’s reimagining of the iconic IP has real breadth. We’re excited by where he and Stephen plan to take the story.”
The horror TV show’s ensemble cast also features Siena Agudong as Sue Snell, Alison Thornton as Chris Hargensen, Joel Oulette as Tommy Ross, and Josie Totah as Tina, among others. All eight episodes of Carrie Season 1 are now streaming on Prime Video.
Season 2 has yet to receive an official release date.
