Mckenna Grace Gives Clear Verdict on Nudity for Her Film Roles

Mckenna Grace has shared her clear stance on doing nude scenes in her film roles. The interview comes during the promotional tour for her new film, The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping. Arriving in theaters on November 20, 2026, the prequel casts her in dual roles as Maysilee Donner and her twin sister Merrilee.

Mckenna Grace won’t get into nudity for her movie roles

For Cosmopolitan‘s Winter 2026 cover, published Monday, November 2, McKenna Grace got candid about where she draws the line as an actress. The Ghostbusters star said she has no interest in taking on roles that require nude scenes or hypersexual content.

Among other questions, interviewer Emma Baty had asked the actress, “I’m curious—are there any roles, inside or outside of fandoms, that you’d say no to?” To that, Grace replied, “At this point, I definitely don’t do nudity or very hypersexual things. I respect anybody who can, but it’s terrifying to me. I don’t know if that’ll ever change.”

The Young Sheldon alum clarified that her boundary isn’t about sticking to only lighthearted or family-friendly parts. She cited her role in Scream to make clear that she’s open to intense, dark storytelling. Grace added, “It’s not like I only do wholesome things—my character literally gets gutted by Ghostface in Scream—but my dream is to try and be a Disney princess someday.”

During the conversation, she also looked back on her early start in the industry. The 20-year-old recalled growing up on sets for projects like Disney XD’s Crash & Bernstein, Gifted, I, Tonya, and The Handmaid’s Tale.

Grace described the odd push-and-pull of growing up as a child actor, where she had to carry herself like an adult when cameras weren’t rolling. Then she had to be a kid on camera, only to get in trouble for it.

The actress further noted, “Now it’s cool to be an adult and be able to give my opinion and have a bit more ownership over characters. I’ve really enjoyed sitting down with producers and pitching all my ideas.”
