Prince William & Kate Middleton’s Jordan Holiday Plans in Doubt — Source

Prince William and Kate Middleton may have to cancel their annual family vacation to Jordan this year. The couple traditionally take their three children on a yearly getaway, but circumstances beyond their control could disrupt their plans this time around.

What sources say about the Wales family’s 2026 holiday plans

According to the Daily Mail, Prince William and Kate Middleton may be reconsidering their annual family holiday in Jordan amid growing security concerns. The Prince and Princess of Wales reportedly received an invitation to spend their vacation at a seaside palace belonging to Jordan’s King Abdullah II.

However, the future king and queen are seemingly planning to stay in the UK this year. They are expected to welcome their eldest son, Prince George, home from Eton College during his school break.

A source told the publication that there is usually speculation in Jordan about a possible visit from William and Kate, given that the couple are regular visitors. However, the Waleses are reportedly unlikely to make the trip this year.

The insider revealed that William and Kate have visited Jordan on several occasions, both as a couple and as parents. They have also travelled there with the Princess of Wales’ parents. Jordan’s royal palace has reportedly extended its hospitality to the family over the years, making the prospect of missing their annual getaway particularly disappointing. The source claimed they were “incredibly sad” about not visiting this year.

However, the increasingly volatile political situation in the Middle East, including growing threats from missiles and drones, has reportedly influenced the family’s decision. With regional security concerns mounting, William and Kate appear to believe that postponing their Jordan holiday would be the safer option.

The source explained: “But they can hardly come here for water sports and jet skiing when there is the threat of…missiles. It can’t be a coincidence if an autumn return to Jordan wasn’t on their radar this year.”

Meanwhile, according to a recent report by Hello, George is currently enjoying a school break from October 23 to November 8. The young royal is expected to reunite with his parents during the holidays, with the family reportedly planning to celebrate both Halloween and Bonfire Night together.
