Paula Reid has joined MS NOW as Chief White House reporter. As per an internal memo from Washington Bureau Chief Sudeep Reddy obtained by TheWrap, she began work on Thursday. Her arrival was first rumored in July. “Paula will bring her deep experience to covering the administration, serve as a key reporting voice across MS NOW’s Washington Bureau, and help drive our newsroom’s investigative and enterprise journalism,” Reddy wrote in the memo. He continued, “Paula joins our intrepid team of White House reporters and producers who have been covering the Trump administration day in and day out since we first established a Washington Bureau.”

Reddy further stated, “They have continued that work without missing a beat, even while navigating attempts to limit their ability to report from the White House.” He added, “Together, Paula and the team will work to deepen our coverage of the White House and Washington and deliver the kind of authoritative, news-breaking journalism that audiences increasingly turn to MS NOW for.” Reddy and executives have reportedly been focused on building an entirely new team following the split from NBC News last year.

This marks a significant hire for the network to increase Trump administration coverage. Reid’s team includes Scott Foster, White House director, Vaughn Hillyard, and senior White House reporter Vaughn Hillyard. White House reporters include Akayla Gardner, Laura Barrón-López, and Jake Traylor.

Reid was previously with CNN and CBS News. At CBS News, she took up multiple roles, including White House Correspondent, Correspondent, Reporter, Digital Journalist, Researcher for CBS Evening News, and Intern at the CBS News Investigative Unit. Further, at CNN, she served as the Chief Legal Correspondent and Senior Legal Correspondent.
