Agnez Mo joins Nicolas Cage’s cyber-thriller C.L.A.Y.
Indonesian singer and actress Agnez Mo has joined the cast of C.L.A.Y., a cyber-thriller starring Nicolas Cage and Michael Sheen, per Deadline. Mo then shared The Film Ledger’s post about the news on X with a heart emoji.
Simon Afram writes, directs and produces the psychological cyber-thriller. Notably, the project marks Afram’s feature directorial debut. It also reunites several cast members from Fortitude, a WWII espionage film Afram wrote and produced for director Simon West.
In the film, a socially invisible computer prodigy discovers purpose after joining an underground hacker collective. The group, called Clowns Laughing At You, turns digital provocation into real-world consequences. As a result, their growing notoriety attracts attention from intelligence agencies, criminal syndicates and rival hackers.
Meanwhile, Jordi Molla, Emilio Sakraya and Adrian Topol round out the announced cast. According to the outlet, additional casting is still coming together. Production is set to begin on location in London in November 2026.
Edward Kahl, Reza Roohi and Adrian Topol produce the film alongside Afram. Additionally, Bianca Goodloe, David Scaramanga and Daniel Haido serve as executive producers. Rich Mento handles casting for the project.
Afram described the film’s themes in a statement to Deadline. “C.L.A.Y. is about identity, belonging and the extraordinary power the digital world can have over our real lives,” Afram said. He further added that it is “a deeply human story about people searching for purpose in a world where almost anything is possible behind a screen.”
Cage is represented by WME, Stride Management and GGSS&C LLP. Sheen, on the other hand, is represented by CAA, Link Entertainment and Schreck Rose. The role marks Mo’s first on-screen English-language film appearance. Clay Pictures Ltd serves as the production company of record.
