Melania Trump’s AI Contest Gets a New Name Just After Donald Trump’s Warning

Donald Trump‘s wife, Melania, changed the name of her student AI contest after what appears to be a warning from the President. Melania first announced the K-12 student challenge in August 2025, after Trump signed an executive order. In its inaugural year, the challenge drew more than 20,000 students.

Melania Trump has reportedly changed the name of her K-12 AI contest. This came after the President’s earlier warning on Truth Social.

In a Truth Social post on October 8, Trump gave artificial intelligence a new name. The President said that anyone who uses the term would automatically be added to his list of enemies. In Melania’s new announcement, the First Lady revealed that the contest is called the Presidential Super Intelligence (SI) Challenge. According to a new White House briefing, she said, “America’s future security, prosperity, and global leadership depend on our next generation. Building on last year’s success, the 2027 Presidential Super Intelligence Challenge will empower our children to lead the world.”

She further expanded on the term, super intelligence. She stated that her contest is a way to prepare the country’s next generation to become experts in the “most transformative technology of our time.”

Melania also announced that students who will participate in the contest will have a chance to get her “First Lady Seal of SI Readiness.”

In September, Trump signed an executive order rebranding artificial intelligence as super intelligence. According to Politico, the President said the move is meant to focus on rapidly developing technology. However, many lawmakers have questioned the order. Moreover, Reuters previously reported that the Justice Department has also directed its staff to use SI instead of AI.
