Ex-Prince Andrew Thinks Prince Harry Gets Better Treatment Than Him — Report

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor apparently sees a disparity in how the royal family handled his situation, and a report suggests that he feels that his nephew, Prince Harry, has been treated differently. The news comes as the former prince remains stripped of his royal titles and status over his connection to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Former Prince Andrew reportedly feels he is treated differently than Prince Harry

A source claims that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor believes Prince Harry is being treated more “leniently” than he is.

On February 19, 2026, his 66th birthday, ex-Prince Andrew was taken into custody. Police arrested him for suspected misconduct in public office. After being transported to Aylsham Police Station and interrogated for almost 11 to 12 hours, he was released under investigation with no charges filed at that time. Since then, he has been residing in a modest property on the Sandringham Estate.

Andrew has largely stayed silent about his situation, aside from denying any wrongdoing and refuting the allegations against him. However, per the Daily Express, he reportedly believes that the Palace has treated him more harshly than his nephew, Prince Harry.

According to the Daily Mail, a royal insider said, “He always has felt that his nephew has been treated leniently compared to himself, especially as Andrew has remained loyal to the throne and would never do anything that would cause trouble. That’s very unlike Harry and Meg’s stone-throwing and tittle-tattling across the pond. The wider family feels he deserves credit for not rocking the royal boat.”

In King Charles’ brother’s view, Harry reportedly deserves identical consequences from the family. The Duke of Sussex’s claims about the institution have cost him some family bonds, notably with Prince William. Yet, the former Prince reportedly perceives that the royal household treats the non-working royal far more favorably than they treat him.

In recent developments, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor remains under criminal investigation by Thames Valley Police. However, he has won a legal challenge against the search warrants.
