Prince Harry’s Brand Looks ‘Quite Tainted’ After Booing Incident — Expert

Prince Harry’s booing incident at a Rugby game reportedly made his brand look “quite tainted.” A few royal experts recently shared their opinions on the Duke of Sussex receiving such an extreme reaction at the game. According to them, the British crowd booing the Prince might not be good for the Sussex brand. However, they also hinted that bad publicity also meant people noticed Harry and Meghan Markle.

Expert analyzes repercussions on Prince Harry after booing incident at Rugby game

Last week, Prince Harry was booed at a Rugby game in the UK, raising questions about his brand. Some experts and critics recently discussed the incident on Talk TV and analyzed the repercussions for the Sussexes. Critic Mark Dolan told host Paul Murray that the reaction of the crowd to the Duke’s presence at the game would be a “big problem” for him (via The Express).

“His brand looks quite tainted at the moment. It must have been quite humiliating,” he added. According to him, Harry has not been booed often in public, claiming that he should be happy with how the British people reacted. “At least people are paying attention. Most of the time, they’re just ignoring this couple.”

Meanwhile, political commentator Candice Holdsworth seemed to have a different viewpoint. She claimed this incident hinted at Harry’s “downfall.” She said, “[Harry] was one of the most popular royals. He was beloved, and he kind of destroyed a lot of it and alienated people.”

Things reportedly turned sour for Harry and Meghan Markle in the UK after they moved to California in 2020. Their public image took a hit after the couple slammed the royal family in the bombshell 2021 Oprah Winfrey interview. They shared more about their experiences in a Netflix documentary and in Harry’s memoir, “Spare.”

In late August, the Sussexes returned to Britain with their children. While Meghan has limited her public appearances, Harry has attended a few events so far. One of those was the Rugby game on Friday, where the crowd reportedly didn’t welcome him warmly.
