Meghan Markle and Prince Harry may be planning their UK exit sooner than expected. According to a recent report, a decision on whether to provide the Sussexes with taxpayer-funded security will be made soon. It was said that if the Royal and VIP Executive Committee (Ravec) decides in the couple’s favor, then only the family will reportedly stay. For those unversed, Harry and Markle lost the royal protection privilege in 2020 when they became non-working royals.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s UK exit ‘highly likely’ for a major reason, sources claim
A reason has been reported for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s alleged exit from the UK. A Daily Mail report stated that Ravec seemed to be assessing the Sussexes’ security measures. Earlier, the committee had refused to protect because Harry and Meghan were non-working royals. But the latest report claimed that the decision might be reconsidered since the family of four has returned to Britain.
Furthermore, the decision would seemingly be based on the family’s daily “pattern of life.” It would be expected to announce “within days.” Meanwhile, Harry reportedly believes he has a “strong case.” “It feels inevitable that Ravec will do something, that is what [Harry] thinks,” a source told editor Alison Boshoff.
According to them, Ravec could make a “U-turn” from their previous decision. The change would seemingly come after considering that Harry could be a “target” not because of his “lifestyle choice” but because of his royal blood. They added, “The expectation is that the Home Office will try and play down and mute as much as they can to save face, but it is coming.”
Moreover, they implied that if Ravec didn’t decide in Harry’s favor, then the Sussexes might believe the committee was tricked. In that case, Harry could reportedly take his family back to California. “If he doesn’t get [security], then I believe he will go back to Montecito for good, and that could be as soon as half-term,” the source added.
