Meghan Markle may soon have another famous neighbour if Sydney Sweeney moves to the English countryside. During a News24 discussion hosted by Rita Panahi, a guest suggested that Sweeney could even teach Meghan a thing or two about building a successful entertainment career. The comments came amid reports that the Euphoria star was considering properties in the Cotswolds, an area Prince Harry and Meghan also reportedly visit.

Speaking during the News24 segment, Panahi joked that Meghan Markle could benefit from having Sydney Sweeney as a neighbour. This is if the actress decides to move to the Cotswolds. The commentator was reacting to reports that Sweeney was looking at properties in the English countryside. Prince Harry and Meghan also reportedly frequent the area.
“Speaking of Sydney Sweeney, she is reportedly planning a move to England,” Panahi said. “She may be having some very famous neighbours in her vicinity, Harry and Meghan, Ellen and Portia.”
A guest on the show then took a swipe at Meghan, suggesting she could benefit from associating with Sweeney. “Can you imagine Sydney Sweeney moving into that neighbourhood? Harry and Meghan might finally have a Hollywood neighbour who can explain how to build a successful entertainment career. So they are probably sitting back and going ‘Oh that’s exactly what we needed in the neighborhood.’ But between Ellen and the Beckham’s and potentially Sweeney, Cotswolds are becoming Beverly Hills with better architecture and worse weather. I would say sign me up because I understand why it appeals to all of these rich and famous,” the guest said.
Meghan’s career has taken several turns since she left Suits in 2017. Following their departure from the royal family in 2020, Harry and Meghan signed a Netflix deal through their production company, Archewell Productions. Their documentary series Harry & Meghan became a major streaming success, while other projects, including Live to Lead and Polo, attracted less attention.
Her lifestyle series With Love, Meghan also received a mixed response. Although its first season attracted 5.3 million views during the first half of 2025, the second season recorded two million views between July and December of that year.
Sweeney, meanwhile, has built a prominent acting career through projects including Euphoria, The White Lotus, and Anyone But You.
