Charles Spencer has been accused of “forming an alliance” with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle over Princess Diana’s memoir. According to a senior royal author, Earl Spencer has reportedly teamed up with the Sussexes to “damage” King Charles. He claimed that the monarch was seemingly grieving when Diana passed away. It came after the late princess’ brother made bombshell claims in his new book, “Swan Song: Diana, My Sister.”
Author claims Charles Spencer teamed up with Harry and Meghan for Diana memoir
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been dragged into Charles Spencer’s Diana memoir drama. Royal biographer Tom Bower shared his opinion on the topic while speaking to Nigel Farage on GB News. He claimed that the Sussexes returned to the UK to “cause trouble” for King Charles.
According to the author, Earl Spencer has not written “Swan Song: Diana, My Sister” just to sell it. He has reportedly “formed an alliance with Harry and Meghan to damage the King.” Furthermore, Bower suggested that aristocrats have been having arguments for a long time and the punishment was reportedly “execution.”
Meanwhile, Bower seemed not to believe Spencer’s claims about Charles being “giddily elated” after his ex-wife’s death. He claimed that his “impeccable sources in Balmoral” told him the then-Prince of Wales was in “real grief.” Hence, he attempted to shut down Spencer’s claims in the Diana memoir.
In it, he mentioned what Charles allegedly told him during a phone call after Diana’s death. Allegedly, the now-king had said, “Rest assured, we’ll forget Diana soon enough.” Spencer has also seemingly criticized the Royal Family’s treatment towards his late sister. He has reportedly written about Diana and Charles’ rocky marriage and how it led to their divorce.
Meanwhile, Bower claimed that Spencer’s new book was allegedly not a surprise for Harry. He questioned the Sussexes’ real reason for returning to Britain. “The return of Harry and Meghan is heading towards a crisis.”
