Ex-Prince Andrew’s former wife, Sarah Ferguson, is reportedly pushing for a meeting with King Charles amid reported financial difficulties following her family’s alleged links to the Epstein files controversy. The former Duchess of York reportedly wants to speak with the King directly rather than communicate through intermediaries. For those unfamiliar with the situation, Charles stripped her former husband, Andrew, of his royal titles last year.
Sarah Ferguson reportedly wants to meet King Charles ‘face-to-face’
Sarah Ferguson is reportedly pushing for a face-to-face meeting with King Charles. A source told Express UK: “She wants to be in the same room as the King, look him in the eye, and understand whether there is any conceivable route back from where she finds herself now.”
The source explained that Ferguson is not expecting her former brother-in-law to provide financial assistance. Instead, she reportedly hopes Charles can help her reconnect with the royal family and begin rebuilding those relationships.
According to the source, Ferguson has been trying to rebuild her life both financially and personally. The comments come as her reported links to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein have faced renewed scrutiny following the release of millions of pages of documents related to the Epstein files.
The Duke of York and the former Duchess of York have repeatedly been mentioned in connection with the Epstein files. Both have strongly denied wrongdoing or inappropriate ties to the convicted sex offender, but the controversy has continued to affect their public lives.
Ferguson previously acknowledged that Epstein paid $20,046.98 toward her debts. However, the latest documents have reportedly revealed additional details about their relationship, prompting Ferguson to take a step back from public life.
Her charity, Sarah’s Trust, announced earlier this year that it would cease operations for the foreseeable future. Several organisations have also reportedly cut ties with the former Duchess of York.
Her emerging publishing career has also been affected by the renewed scrutiny surrounding her links to Epstein. Thousands of copies of her latest children’s book were reportedly pulled from circulation following the latest controversy.
