Getting a little too curious about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s new Ohio home could come with an unexpected warning. The couple has allegedly installed a security system around their mansion that can verbally alert anyone who gets too close to the property, with one nearby neighbor reportedly experiencing the measure firsthand. The setup has sparked attention as the newlyweds settle into their secluded Lake Erie community.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have reportedly set up a warning alarm around their Ohio mansion
According to Page Six, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have added a warning system around their new Ohio home. A nearby resident reportedly got a voice alert after approaching the property and getting too close. The message allegedly warned the person not to enter the private grounds.
The couple purchased the sprawling property in March for a reported $5.35 million. Located in Bratenahl, the 21,000-square-foot mansion sits along Lake Erie. The home is said to feature eight bedrooms and 11 bathrooms, along with a game room and private theater.
Naturally, the arrival of two of the world’s most recognizable stars has attracted attention. Still, the couple has apparently managed to settle in without causing major disruption around the village.
Patricia Knight Gary of Howard Hanna Realty told Page Six that Bratenahl is already a “relatively secluded lakefront” community. She also noted that she was “not aware” of any additional fencing being installed throughout the village. Moreover, she suggested that any new measures could be limited to the couple’s private property.
As per Knight Gary, the village has a small police force that regularly patrols the community. Nearby condominiums also reportedly have round-the-clock security. However, she said additional measures could potentially be discussed following the couple’s arrival.
Their Ohio mansion is also unlikely to become their only home base. A source previously told Page Six that Kelce’s Leawood, Kansas, residence remains their primary home, particularly while he continues playing for the Kansas City Chiefs. Swift also maintains properties in Nashville, Rhode Island, and Beverly Hills, as well as her Tribeca apartment.
So, how much time will the newlyweds actually spend in Bratenahl? That remains unclear. Knight Gary told the outlet the village is essentially taking a “wait and see” approach to the couple’s presence and its potential impact on local traffic.
