Meghan Markle Sparks ‘Hypocrisy’ Backlash Over ‘Hyper-Curated’ Video — Experts

Meghan Markle’s latest Instagram video, showing their family moments in the UK, has drawn immense backlash. According to experts, the “hyper-curated” reel suggested the Duchess of Sussex was being a “hypocrite.” It was claimed that she and Prince Harry often spoke about the dangers of social media for children. Hence, this move, where Meghan gave a glimpse of Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, sparked criticism.

Meghan Markle sparks criticism from experts over sharing new family video featuring her kids

Meghan Markle was slammed for sharing a new family video after their return to the UK. Over the weekend, the Duchess gave a glimpse of the Sussexes in their domestic selves. However, her move sparked questions after the Instagram Reel showed Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. According to Page Six, experts labeled it as “hypocrisy.”

“If privacy is genuinely the priority, the most effective strategy is simple… stop broadcasting your family life to millions of strangers,” royal commentator Kinsey Schofield said. She noted how the video showed the Sussexes’ “domestic routine.” According to her, Meghan has reportedly drawn “more attention” towards her kids through this move.

“Hiding their faces does not suddenly eliminate the attention it generates around them,” Schofield warned. Furthermore, she told the outlet that Meghan has often been open about how social media can be dangerous for children. Additionally, Prince Harry has “spent years describing the damage he believes media attention caused him as a child.” Despite the awareness, the couple’s decision to post the family video didn’t sit well with Schofield.

Meanwhile, another royal expert, Tom Skyes, shared similar thoughts. According to him, he found the kids’ involvement in the video “jarring.” Skyes claimed that Meghan allegedly shared the reel to “sell a narrative of glossy family perfection.”

During the weekend, the mother of two posted a video on her Instagram handle. It showed the Sussex couple walking hand in hand while Meghan encouraged her kids to follow along. It also featured various fun moments of the children; however, their faces were not shown. In the clip, the flag of Britain and a red heart were displayed.
