Brooks Nader is standing by her decision to go topless around her father, Breaux Nader, during a family summer outing in Sardinia, Italy. The “Love Thy Nader” star recently explained why the moment did not feel awkward to her family, despite the attention and criticism it received online.
Brooks Nader defends going topless in front of dad over the summer
On September 10, Entertainment Tonight shared footage from an interview in which Brooks Nader addressed the moment. During the boat trip, the model took off her top and wore only white lace shorts before jumping into the water for a swim. After getting back on the boat, she continued chatting with her family while wearing only her crocheted bottoms.
Nader said she did not think much of the situation at the time. She also made it clear her family did not treat it as anything unusual. “I grew up in an all-girl household. We’re always naked together as sisters,” the model explained. She was referring to her sisters Sarah Jane, Grace Ann, and Mary Holland.
Nader also joked that her father barely noticed what was going on. “My dad’s half-blind, so he didn’t even notice,” she said. “He was like, ‘I don’t care.’ He has selective hearing and selective seeing.” Meanwhile, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit star recalled having the time of her life, saying, “Really not thinking that anyone was documenting some of it, but we love it. It’s great.”
The Naders have given viewers a glimpse into their family dynamic through their Hulu reality show, “Love Thy Nader.” The first season highlighted the sisters’ close bond and their relationship with their father, Breaux. Nader previously described that bond during a June 2024 interview with The Daily Front Row. “There’s not a second that goes by in the day that we’re not in constant communication,” she said. The reality TV star also joked that the family knows almost everything about one another, saying, “We all know too much about each other.”
