Dakota Fanning’s acclaimed horror movie Coraline is coming to Hulu next month. According to Hulu Press, the stop-motion horror fantasy will begin streaming on the platform on September 1, 2026, giving subscribers another opportunity to watch the critically acclaimed film.
Written and directed by Henry Selick, Coraline is a stop-motion animated horror fantasy based on Neil Gaiman’s 2002 novella. The film follows Coraline Jones, a young girl who moves into an old house with her parents and soon becomes frustrated with her new surroundings. While exploring the property, she discovers a hidden passage that leads to a parallel world where she meets alternate versions of her parents.
At first, the alternate reality appears to offer everything missing from her ordinary life. However, Coraline soon discovers that the Other Mother behind this seemingly perfect world has darker intentions. After refusing to remain there permanently, Coraline becomes trapped and must find a way to escape while rescuing her parents. With help from a talking cat, she sets out to stop the Other Mother and return safely to her own world.
The film’s voice cast includes Dakota Fanning as Coraline Jones, Teri Hatcher as Melinda “Mel” Jones, Jennifer Saunders as April Spink, Dawn French as Miriam Forcible, Keith David as the Cat, and John Hodgman as Charles “Charlie” Jones, among others.
Coraline received widespread critical acclaim following its release. The film currently holds a 91 percent score from critics on Rotten Tomatoes based on 275 reviews. Meanwhile, its audience score stands at 74 percent.
