Dafne Keen’s Whistle is coming to Hulu next month

Dafne Keen’s R-rated horror film Whistle is set to make its streaming debut on Hulu next month. According to Hulu Press, the movie will be available to stream on the platform starting November 20, 2026.

Directed by Corin Hardy and written by Owen Egerton, Whistle had its first screening at Fantastic Fest on September 25, 2025. The horror film revolves around Chrys Willet, a teenager whose arrival at a new school takes a frightening turn after she encounters an ancient Aztec whistle. The object carries a deadly curse, as anyone who blows it summons their own future death, setting off a terrifying chain of events.

As Chrys tries to adapt to her new surroundings, she finds herself drawn into the mystery surrounding the whistle and the danger it poses. Keen leads the cast as Chrys Willet, alongside Sophie Nélisse as Ellie Gains. Other cast members include Sky Yang as Rel Taylor, Jhaleil Swaby as Dean Jackson, Ali Skovbye as Grace Browning, and Percy Hynes White as Noah Haggerty, among others.

The film has received mixed reviews from critics. On Rotten Tomatoes, Whistle has a critics’ score of 64 percent based on 118 reviews. Meanwhile, its audience score stands at 55 percent. Grant Watson of Fiction Machine reported, “Sure it is disposable, and largely forgettable, but thankfully it is also quite watchable. This is a film that knows its niche and sits in it.”

Meanwhile, Mike McCahill of The Guardian noted, “Enough for Friday or Saturday night enjoyment, certainly.”
