Outer Banks Season 5 Ending Has the Entire Cast Saying the Same Thing

In a recent interview, the actors who portray the Pogues in Netflix’s Outer Banks opened up about the finale of Season 5. They spoke about their thoughts on how their characters ended up and were also joined by their co-star Drew Starkey.

Entire Outer Banks cast has the same reaction to Season 5 ending

While speaking with ScreenRant’s Ash Crossan, the cast of Outer Banks agreed that they couldn’t have asked for a better ending to the Netflix show.

Starkey, who plays Rafe Cameron, simply noted, “I feel like there’s a bit of resolution. I’m feeling like Rafe has found a bit of peace after years of torment. I think it landed in a place that I felt good about, for sure.”

Meanwhile, Pope Heyward actor Jonathan Daviss explained that despite the constantly evolving pursuits of his character, the ending to Outer Banks managed to close Heyward’s arc on a fitting note. “In trying, over the course of five seasons of the show, to wrap everything up in a tight bow, I think he comes out better,” he said. “It might not be exactly what he thought he wanted when he started, but I think he gets what he needed.”

John B. actor Chase Stokes said that his character ended up finding the family he was always looking for. “There’s loss along the way, and to finally find this resolution, he’s found peace, and he’s got his family around him. And I think that’s exactly where he was at the beginning of the show,” he remarked.

Sarah Cameron’s actor Madelyn Cline provided a similar assessment, stating she “wouldn’t change a thing.” Madison Bailey said the same thing about Kiara Carrera’s arc. She added that the former Kook “had the happiest ending that she could have.”

Carlacia Grant was the only cast member who had a slight criticism of the Outer Banks Season 5 finale. “I definitely wanted Cleo to be there when everyone got the gold. That was my only qualm,” she argued. Nevertheless, Grant added that she loved that “[Cleo] and Pope got to stay together.”
