In the I’ve Never Said This Before podcast with Tommy DiDario, Stokes addressed the most ridiculous rumor he had heard. The “Outer Banks” actor promptly took the opportunity to clarify all doubts regarding his facial cosmetic surgeries.
According to People, Stokes revealed that he was surprised that doctors had taken the bait. They have claimed that he had had upper blepharoplasty, a procedure that alters the eyelids. There have also been claims of him having done lip enhancements.
“On the record, I will say it, I’ve never had any work done on my face,” he said. The actor also revealed that it was funny how people are confident in their speculation and present it as fact.
The actor also admitted that he had previously spent time addressing such comments, but had stopped after realising that it gave the commentators more exposure. “I used to be a little more online with that stuff, but I’ve realized to just shut up,” he explained, noting that responding often gives rumors more attention.
Stokes reflected on life after “Outer Banks” on Netflix ended after 5 seasons. The show shot Stokes to global fame for his role as John B, the adventurous leader of the Pogues.
In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the actor revealed that the show had been demanding on his health. He suffered from liver and kidney issues for which he ultimately sought medical help and intensive therapy.
The actor also said that with the show ending, he has been able to focus more on his health and excavate his identity beyond the character he played for years.
Chase Stokes is best known for starring as John B in Netflix’s hit series “Outer Banks” and has also appeared in films such as “Uglies” and “Valiant One”.
