Prince William’s son Prince George’s new school, Eton College, has reportedly sternly warned photographers not to capture photos of the young royal. For those unversed, George is all set to follow in his father and uncle Harry’s footsteps. He will be enrolling at Eton College this September. His parents are reportedly extra careful about their 13-year-old son’s privacy and want to keep him away from the prying eyes of the media. Not only that, Eton College, too, seems to be on board with this plan.
Eton School gives a warning to photographers ahead of Prince George’s joining
Prince William’s eldest son Prince George’s new school, Eton College, has reportedly sent a solid message to photographers. As per The Royal Observer, the Waleses are taking George’s privacy seriously and may impose a complete ban on the media to prevent unwarranted attention.
Now, it seems the young prince’s new school has followed suit and issued a new warning, banning photographers on the campus. Eton College has installed “no photography” signs ahead of the young royal’s entry this September. It is also reported that the “no photography” rule isn’t just for George but for all the young students who will be studying at the prestigious institution.
Unlike William or Prince Harry, George also has to deal with social media and camera phones in addition to professional paparazzi. This makes the young prince more vulnerable to having his privacy invaded. Furthermore, George will not be sharing a room with another student, as strict policies require students to have their own private rooms.
Veteran broadcaster Simon Vigar also shared that as William and Kate’s children navigate college life, privacy laws will continue to evolve. The Waleses are ensuring their children lead a regular life as normal students at university.
Previously, royal commentator Kinsey Schofield dished to Page Six: “The biggest challenge won’t be academics or making friends. It’ll be balancing Prince George’s privacy with the reality that every classmate has TikTok. William and [his brother] Harry attended before social media transformed adolescence. George won’t have that luxury.”
