Prince Harry’s Mention of Prince William on UK Trip Not an ‘Overnight’ Relationship Fix — Source

Prince Harry reportedly showed “no personal bitterness” while mentioning his brother, Prince William, during his recent U.K. trip. The Duke of Sussex has ignited new speculation that he is looking to mend things with his estranged older brother. Harry mentioned William in conversation with a young hospital patient, and royal experts believe that he is extending an olive branch to mend their broken relationship.

Insider suggests Prince Harry had ‘no personal bitterness’ while mentioning Prince William during UK trip

As per a report by RadarOnline, Prince Harry is seeking to fix his fractured relationship with Prince William. The Duke of Sussex was recently in the U.K. to honor his commitment to the Invictus Games — an initiative for injured soldiers. The 41-year-old prince participated in multiple interviews and events to promote the cause. Harry, alongside Meghan Markle and their children, also had a private meeting with King Charles and Queen Camilla.

Although the Duke of Sussex did not meet his brother, there was a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it reference to the Prince of Wales during his visit. Harry spoke to a child at Birmingham Children’s Hospital, which has rekindled discussions about his intentions to mend ties with the royal family.

While chatting with 12-year-old Alex Hill, he discovered that the young boy supports Aston Villa. “Aston Villa,” Harry repeated before adding, “My brother supports Aston Villa.” William is an ardent supporter of Aston Villa and regularly attends their matches. Meanwhile, Harry and William have reportedly not interacted with each other since the Sussexes stepped down from their royal duties in 2020.

A royal expert weighed in on this unexpected gesture by Harry toward his brother. “Harry didn’t need to mention William at all, yet he chose to do so naturally and positively,” They told RadarOnline. “Some people close to the situation see that as a small but meaningful olive branch. Nobody expects one passing remark to transform the relationship overnight, but it suggested Harry wanted to show there is no personal bitterness whenever his brother comes up in conversation.”
