Obsession’s Inde Navarrette Is Battling Odessa A’zion for Huge X-Men Role – Report

A new rumor suggests that Inde Navarrette is up against Odessa A’zion for an X-Men team member role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This comes after the Obsession star expressed interest in joining the MCU. She also disclosed that she has met with Jake Schreier, who is directing Marvel’s X-Men reboot.

New rumor points to Inde Navarrette for Rogue’s X-Men reboot role

Industry scooper @MyTimeToShineH shared a new rumor about Rogue in the MCU in a recent post. “Marvel is rushing now to cast the X-Men, Inde Navarrette is eyed for Rogue,” the post reads.

As mentioned above, this morsel of a rumor comes in the aftermath of Navarrette speaking about potentially joining the MCU. Additionally, scooper Jeff Sneider claimed A’zion was in consideration for Rogue. If both of these rumors are true, the two actresses are competing with each other for one of the most important roles in that corner of the MCU.

Previously, Anna Paquin portrayed Marie D’Ancanto / Rogue in 20th Century Fox’s X-Men film series. While several of her co-stars are making their returns in Avengers: Doomsday, it remains unclear whether she will as well.

Navarrette has garnered widespread popularity with her outing as Nikki Freeman in Curry Barker’s Obsession. Speculations and rumors about prospective superhero casting came along with that. It has only intensified since she spoke about her meeting with Schreier, with several fans stating that they want her as Rogue. Interestingly, if she does land the role, it won’t be her first foray into the superhero genre. The 25-year-old actress played Sarah Cortez, the wild-child daughter of Lana Lang, on Superman & Lois, which aired on The CW between 2021 and 2024.

Notably, years ago, Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige announced that X-Men would eventually appear in the MCU. An X-Men movie had gone into development by 2023 (via Deadline).
