Nicholas Hoult‘s heist movie How to Rob a Bank has been delayed by more than two months. The upcoming film is directed by David Leitch.
When is the new release date for How to Rob a Bank?
How to Rob a Bank was originally scheduled to be released on September 4, 2026. However, it’s been pushed back by two months and will now hit theaters on November 13, 2026.
According to Deadline, Amazon MGM Studios is positioning the film to capitalize on the Thanksgiving holiday. The company wants How to Rob a Bank to attract more people aged 18-34. The decision came after the studio evaluated how that demographic responded to the film’s marketing materials.
Following a change in release date, How to Rob a Bank will now avoid a box office clash with movies such as Mark Wahlberg’s By Any Means, A24’s Onslaught, and the re-release of Cars from Disney and Pixar. However, it will now be up against J.J. Abrams’ The Great Beyond and Johnny Depp’s Ebenezer: A Christmas Carol. These two are also slated for a November 13 release.
How to Rob a Bank’s cast also features Zoë Kravitz, Pete Davidson, and John C. Reilly. Rhenzy Feliz, Anna Sawai, and Christian Slater also star in key roles.
According to the official synopsis of the movie, “a crew of social media-savvy bank robbers broadcasts their daring heists, unaware that their growing viral fame has put them in the crosshairs of a veteran FBI agent and a brilliant software engineer. Despite the unlikely duo closing in, the crime ring pushes past their limits, putting everything on the line for their beliefs – and their most ambitious heist yet.”
How to Rob a Bank has David Leitch as the producer alongside Brian Grazer, Jeb Brody, Allan Mandelbaum, and Kelly McCormick. Ben Ormand and Mark Bianculli are serving as the executive producers.
