Spider-Man: Brand New Day Plot Update Reveals More About Sadie Sink’s MCU Character

A recent Spider-Man: Brand New Day plot update teases Sadie Sink’s character’s motive. This comes weeks ahead of the film’s release and is one of the first major updates regarding her character.

What is the latest Spider-Man: Brand New Day plot update?

The latest Spider-Man: Brand New Day plot update has revealed that Spider-Man and Sadie Sink’s character will reportedly spend much of the film pursuing something called VMax. Hollywood scooper and insider Daniel Richtman, known online as DanielRPK, made this claim.

Shortly after DanielRPK’s recent Brand New Day report began circulating on social media. Even Alex Perez of The Cosmic Circus seconded the claim. Acknowledging that VMax was also the name of a popular theater, Perez further added that it was true and that it could refer to a substance being distributed by Tombstone.

This is one of the biggest updates regarding Sadie Sink’s role in the upcoming MCU film, as Marvel Studios has yet to confirm her character’s identity. They have maintained extreme secrecy, with Sink revealing that she did not receive a script until she arrived in London to film. She previously worked with director Destin Daniel Cretton on The Glass Castle. Reports have claimed she did not audition for the role, though Marvel has not officially confirmed the casting process. However, marketing materials and fan speculation have led some to believe that Sink may play one of the film’s antagonists, though Marvel has not confirmed her role.

The official synopsis of the film reads, “Four years have passed since the events of No Way Home, and Peter is now an adult living entirely alone, having voluntarily erased himself from the lives and memories of those he loves. Crime-fighting in a New York that no longer knows his name, he’s devoted himself entirely to protecting his city — a full-time Spider-Man — but as the demands on him intensify, the pressure sparks a surprising physical evolution that threatens his existence, even as a strange new pattern of crimes gives rise to one of the most powerful threats he has ever faced.”

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled to be released in theaters on July 31, 2026.
