A wild new Spider-Man: Brand New Day rumor claims that the film may be spicier than expected. The fourth MCU Spider-Man film reportedly follows the wall-crawler as he undergoes a genetic mutation.
What is the new Spider-Man 4 rumor?
According to scooper DanielRPK, Spider-Man 4 could see Tom Holland’s Peter and Florence Pugh’s Yelena share a sensual scene. “Part of Yelena Belova’s role in Spider-Man Brand New Day is her and Peter seeing each other naked,” wrote the scooper in one of their posts. Pugh has been rumored to appear in the film for many months. However, Pugh’s involvement remains unconfirmed and should be treated as a rumor. Neither Sony Pictures nor Marvel Studios have commented on Pugh’s involvement with Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
It seems that part of the rumor stems back to talks about Spider-Man 4 having to hire an intimacy coordinator. However, scooper Alex Perez of the Cosmic Circus clarified that he has not seen any evidence that Pugh’s rumored cameo would be “used in that manner.” Speaking on the matter, Perez wrote online, “…I’m just now seeing what everyone is currently implying about Yelena. I want to be clear: I haven’t heard of her cameo being used in ‘that manner’ in BND. It doesn’t mean it’s not necessarily true. But I, for one, have not heard that that is the case.”
Florence Pugh entered the Marvel Cinematic Universe by playing Yelena Belova in 2021’s Black Widow. Since then, Pugh has reprised the role in Hawkeye and Thunderbolts, which concluded with the team becoming the New Avengers under her leadership. Pugh will reprise the role officially in this year’s Avengers: Doomsday.
The Tom Holland-led Spider-Man films have always included multiple MCU characters in special roles. Brand New Day has also been confirmed to feature Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk, who is shown fighting Spider-Man in the trailer.
