Spider-Man 5 rumors point to new MCU crossovers shaping Peter Parker’s next chapter. Insider updates suggest street-level heroes could be part of the next entry in the franchise. The discussion comes from ongoing fan questions about where the web-slinger’s story could head after recent multiverse events.
New rumor suggests Daredevil and others could be in Spider-Man 5
If the latest comments from Marvel insider Alex Perez are anything to go by, Spider-Man’s future could stay focused on street-level heroes. During a recent Q&A with the Cosmic Circus, Perez said, “Daredevil and Defenders for sure. I’d love the Champions to pop up at some point too. Moon Knight as well.” That has fans thinking the next movies might feature more New York-based team-ups. However, nothing has been confirmed by Marvel yet.
The conversation also hinted at a bigger picture for Spider-Man’s future. There aren’t any official plot details yet, but the idea seems to be bringing Peter Parker closer to the MCU’s street-level heroes.
That could open the door for more team-ups with characters like Daredevil and the rest of the Defenders. Instead of throwing Spider-Man into another huge, universe-sized conflict, Marvel may go for stories that stay rooted in New York while naturally connecting him to other corners of the MCU. There’s also a chance Miles Morales could enter the picture. Tom Holland has previously said he’d love to see Peter Parker eventually mentor Miles.
The Q&A also dropped a few interesting details about Spider-Man: Brand New Day. According to Alex Perez, fans shouldn’t expect just one main villain. Instead, the movie reportedly features several bad guys, each with a different role in the story.
As Perez put it, “There are many villains in this movie with different purposes and goals,” adding that some are dealt with quickly, others stick around much longer, and a few may not be wrapped up at all. He also hinted that Florence Pugh could make a brief appearance as Yelena Belova.
As for the Brand New Day, Tom Holland will be returning as Peter Parker, with Zendaya and Jacob Batalon likely reprising their roles as MJ and Ned Leeds. This time, the movie is being directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, who takes over the franchise after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home.
