Kid Rock recently reflected on his friendship with Donald Trump. He revealed that he often calls him during his late-night drinking shenanigans and knows that he’ll pick it up. The musician further spoke about the president’s sleeping schedule while detailing how much he loves his company.
Kid Rock says he calls Donald Trump after getting drunk
In an interview with Sky News, Kid Rock described his friendship with Donald Trump as “f**king awesome.” He revealed that he knows when to contact Trump, and he does, usually during his late-night drinking tricks. He added, “He’s so gracious, he always picks up, or he’ll call and check in just to shoot the s—. He’s not calling me to [ask], ‘Hey, what should we do in Iran, Bob?’ I don’t get those calls.”
Rock revealed that he knows Trump would be up when he drinks over the weekend, around 11-12. This is because he knows that his and the president’s sleeping schedules resemble each other a bit. “He sleeps like me; he sleeps five hours,” he elaborated.
Sharing that he likes the president’s company, the singer-songwriter said, “Hanging out with him and talking with him and just having a front row seat to the greatest s— show on earth.” These remarks were featured in the one-hour special Trump’s America: 250 Years in the Making.
Rock previously showered praise on the 80-year-old during his second presidential inauguration, in a conversation with correspondent Kyra Phillips. He revealed why he feels a strong connection to Trump while appreciating his personality traits. “He’s one of the greatest men to ever walk the Earth. I call it like I see it. I think a lot of people are finding out what I’ve known for a long time, a lot of us have, that he’s one of the smartest guys in the room, he’s one of the funnest guys in the room – and he gets things done.”
