President Donald Trump drew attention online after a video showed him carefully descending the stairs of Air Force One following his birthday celebrations and a series of posts on Truth Social. The footage circulated as Trump arrived in Geneva to attend the G7 summit alongside other world leaders.

After he celebrated his 80th birthday, President Donald Trump spent part of the evening posting on Truth Social. The following morning, he was scheduled to arrive in Geneva for the G7 summit with fellow world leaders.
However, a video of the President descending the stairs of Air Force One in Geneva has since gained attention online. Many social media users focused on the pace at which the President walked down the stairs. The footage emerged one day after the America 250 events took place on the White House lawn.
Following the video’s circulation, some users shared their reactions on social media. “Can we set age limit for presidents? He should be in a nursing home not representing America,” one user wrote. “He almost fell asleep during the long pause in the middle,” another user added. “The man walks and talks exactly what he is: age 80, whose mental and physical health continues to sink. We need an age limit applied to the US presidency,” yet another user wrote.
Previously, Trump addressed why he descends stairs carefully. During a CNBC Squawk Box interview on April 21, 2026, Trump said, “I have to be careful because if I do trip or fall, it’s going to be the biggest story.” He explained that this was why he got out of planes “nice and slowly.” Earlier in the same discussion, he compared himself to former President Joe Biden and criticized Biden’s ability to climb stairs.
