Barack Obama Just Landed the A-List Crowd Donald Trump Could Not

Barack Obama’s new presidential center will have an A-list crowd, which Donald Trump failed to pull for his recent UFC fight event. The former President and his wife, Michelle Obama, will have a grand opening ceremony for their center on June 18. The event follows Trump’s UFC Freedom 250 at the White House, held on June 14.

The Obama Presidential Center opening draws major A-list stars

Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle, are set to host the opening of their Presidential Center in Chicago on June 18.

The Obama Foundation shared a clip on Instagram revealing the list of stars who will be present at the event. The caption read, “We are bringing together some of today’s most prominent voices and global icons for the Obama Presidential Center Grand Opening Ceremony. The festivities will livestream globally at 11 a.m. CT, Thursday, June 18 — don’t miss it!”

This comes after Donald Trump failed to secure the attendance of several Hollywood celebrities at his White House UFC event. Meanwhile, Obama’s Presidential Center will host several prominent names. Some of them are Jennifer Hudson, Bruce Springsteen, Christina Aguilera, John Legend, Stevie Wonder, Tems, Common, Eddie Vedder, Marsai Martin, The Roots, and Bono and The Edge of U2.

Moreover, speaking about the purpose of the Presidential Center on Good Morning America, Barack Obama stated, “People are a little discouraged right now. But, again, I believe that we go through these cycles, and there’s going to be a younger generation that pops up, and there are going to be leaders who pop up.” He also conveyed that the Center will help “encourage the next generation of leadership.”

According to Vanity Fair, UFC boss Dana White invited numerous celebrities to Trump’s event. This included Adam Sandler, Dwayne Johnson, Tom Brady, Jared Leto, and Jason Statham. However, neither Leto, Johnson, nor the others were reported to have accepted the invitation.

Notably, the UFC fight at the White House was held to celebrate Trump’s 80th birthday.
