But after the celebrations, he shifted attention to something completely different: the online criticism directed at broadcaster Monica McNutt.
During a postgame interview with McNutt, Brunson took a moment to speak directly to Taylor Swift’s fanbase. Pointing toward the analyst, he said, “I just want to say something to the Swifties. She’s a really good one. Cut her some slack. It’s all good, I promise.”
The controversy began after McNutt was caught on a hot mic during Game 4 at Madison Square Garden. After noticing Swift sitting courtside, she quipped, “She’s not a Knicks fan.
