UFC Fighter Declares ‘Michelle Obama Is a Man’ at Freedom 250 Event

UFC fighter Josh Hokit recently made headlines for his remark about Michelle Obama during an interview at a Freedom 250 event. On June 14, the martial artist defeated Derrick Lewis in a heavyweight fight at the White House. While the crowd cheered for him, his post-victory speech (via USA Today) seemed to stir controversy.

In the presence of U.S. President Donald Trump, the UFC fighter made a remark about the former First Lady. “I’m man with the plan, the beast that’s ready to feast,” he started and then, decided not to deliver a proper speech. However, he raised his voice in gratitude to the president, calling him “lord and savior.”

Next, Hokit seemingly insulted two people — one was his rival, Alex Pereira, and the other was Barack Obama’s wife, Michelle. He shouted, “Now listen, Alex Pereira, I’m going to chama on your mama. And lastly, Michelle Obama is a man! Am I right, America?’’

Joe Rogan, who was conducting the interview, seemed awkward and didn’t acknowledge Hokit’s words. He ended the interview, saying, “Ladies and gentlemen, Josh Hokit.” Meanwhile, netizens slammed the athlete on social media. One X user tweeted, “The fighter yelling ‘Michelle Obama is a man,’ at an official White House event to honor America is utterly unacceptable and the administration should denounced it in no uncertain terms.”

Furthermore, Trump, First Lady Melania, and UFC CEO Dana White were sitting in the front row of the White House event.
