Arnold Schwarzenegger’s R-Rated Action Thriller With DC Director Is Leaving Netflix

A 2014 action thriller featuring Arnold Schwarzenegger will soon leave Netflix. The R-rated film follows a DEA team that becomes the target of a cartel after stealing money from them.

Sabotage leaves Netflix in July

Sabotage will be removed from Netflix’s library on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 (via What’s on Netflix).

David Ayer helmed Sabotage and also wrote the story with Skip Woods. He also co-produced it with Bill Block, Ethan Smith, Paul Hanson, and Palek Patel.

Sabotage follows John “Breacher” Wharton, the leader of an elite DEA task force that raids a drug cartel safe house and secretly steals $10 million. When the money disappears, the team comes under suspicion and is suspended. However, due to a lack of evidence, they get reinstated. Soon, the members of the team start dying one by one in brutal ways. As more members die, homicide detective Caroline Brentwood is assigned to investigate the case. Meanwhile, Breacher tries to uncover the truth on his own.

The film’s cast features Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sam Worthington, Olivia Williams, Mireille Enos, Terrence Howard, Joe Manganiello, and Harold Perrineau, among others.

Released on March 28, 2014, Sabotage received largely negative reviews from critics. They praised Schwarzenegger’s performance and the film’s gritty atmosphere, but many felt that the plot was lacking.

On Rotten Tomatoes, Sabotage currently holds a 21% Tomatometer score and a 36% Popcornmeter score. Meanwhile, on IMDb, it has an average score of 5.7/10, based on nearly 70K user votes. The general audience also criticized the story, but ultimately praised the brutal action scenes and the cast’s performance.

Commercially, the film didn’t fare well either. Sabotage had an estimated production budget of $35 million and grossed just a little over $22.1 million globally.

Netflix subscribers have a limited time to stream Sabotage on the platform before it leaves next month.
