The End of Oak Street trailer shows off its fearsome dinosaurs. The second trailer for Anne Hathaway & Ewan McGregor‘s upcoming movie pulls the curtain on its plot, showing its heroes surviving a dinosaur attack.
“After a mysterious cosmic event rips Oak Street from suburbia and transports their neighborhood to someplace unknown, the Platt family soon discovers that their very survival depends on them sticking together as they navigate their now unrecognizable surroundings,” reads the film’s synopsis.

What do we see in The End of Oak Street trailer?
Set to Billy Joel’s “My Life”, the trailer starts with the Platt family noticing eerie events in their neighborhood. It doesn’t take long before the family learns that their entire neighborhood has been transported to an unknown location, where dinosaurs roam freely. The rest of the trailer shows the family gearing up for survival and facing off against the creatures. One shot suggests that the events are linked by a portal.
Like the first trailer, the new footage also includes shots that fans can connect to the Cloverfield franchise.

The End of Oak Street stars Anne Hathaway, Ewan McGregor, Maisy Stella, and Christian Convery. It is written and directed by David Robert Mitchell, and produced by J.J. Abrams, Hannah Minghella, Jon Cohen, David Robert Mitchell, Matt Jackson, and Tommy Harper. Chris Bender, Jake Weiner, Joanne Lee, and Leeann Stonebreaker are the executive producers for the film.
Mitchell is best known for writing and directing 2014’s It Follows and 2018’s Under the Silver Lake. The director is also helming the sequel to It Follows, titled They Follow.
The film’s director of photography is Michael Gioulakis, who previously collaborated with M. Night Shyamalan on projects such as Servant and Old. Gioulakis is reuniting with Mitchell following their partnership on It Follows. Michael Giacchino is composing the score for the film.
The End of Oak Street releases in theaters on August 14, 2026, in the United States.
