The first trailer for Spa Weekend has been released. The upcoming comedy movie is described as being in the same vein as Bad Moms and The Hangover.
The film’s synopsis reads that it is “a hilarious and heartfelt comedy about four lifelong friends who realize that somewhere between careers, relationships, families and everyday responsibilities, they have forgotten how to take care of themselves and each other.”
“Burned out and overdue for a break, the women escape to a luxury spa retreat for what turns out to be an unforgettable weekend dedicated to fun, laughter, and a lot of really bad decisions.”

What do we see in the Spa Weekend trailer?
The trailer wastes no time in announcing that it’s a throwback to comedies from the mid-2000s. The four leading women decide to take a weekend vacation away from life’s problems, only to run into other hilarious problems. Between massages, yoga classes, and relaxing by the pool, the women also deal with distractions from their real lives.

Spa Weekend stars Leslie Mann, Isla Fisher, Michelle Buteau, and Anna Faris. The film is written and directed by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore. It is produced by Suzanne Todd, John Friedberg, Teddy Schwarzman, and Michael Heimler. The film will be 97 minutes long.
Leslie Mann has featured in many notable comedies, including Vacation, This is 40, 17 Again, Knocked Up, and more. Following the Spa Weekend, Isla Fisher is also set to star in a sequel to Wedding Crashers.
Lucas and Moore have directed Jexi, Bad Moms, A Bad Moms Christmas, 21 & Over, and more. They also wrote movies like The Hangover and its sequels, The Change-Up, and the TV series Mixology.
Spa Weekend releases in theaters on August 21, 2026.
