Journalist and talk show host Megyn Kelly showed her unwavering support for President Donald Trump by claiming that she would continue to support Trump even if he dropped a nuclear bomb on another country. The remark came hours before the controversial President threatened to wipe out a “whole civilization” in Iran. A temporary ceasefire agreement has been reached since then.
Megyn Kelly makes bold statement about Donald Trump
Megyn Kelly spoke about her views on Democrats during Monday’s episode of The Megyn Kelly Show, where she described Democrats as “smug” and “arrogant.” She also said that Democrats would “nuke our own country” if returned to power.
“They’re crazy,” Kelly told conservative journalist Emily Jashinsky. She further added that she “could never vote for” a lefty politician, with reference to Senator Elissa Slotkin’s criticisms of War Secretary Pete Hegseth.
She went on to assert her support for President Donald Trump, who has been the subject of ongoing public attention. “I mean, honestly, Trump could drop a nuke, and I’d still vote Republican over those people. What [Democrats] want to do is nuke our own country. You know, it’s like the open border, what they’re doing to children, all that stuff is still – they would do it if put back in power. I think most Republicans know that,” Kelly said.
Her remarks came hours before Trump made posts on Truth Social, including one in which he referenced wiping out a “whole civilization.”
Following these statements and shortly before a proposed deadline, Trump announced a two-week pause on military strikes involving Iran.
“This will be a double-sided CEASEFIRE! The reason for doing so is that we have already met and exceeded all Military objectives, and are very far along with a definitive Agreement concerning Longterm PEACE with Iran, and PEACE in the Middle East,” the President wrote on his Truth Social.
