The search for Nancy Guthrie continues as her family makes a renewed plea to the public for help. Weeks after the 84-year-old’s disappearance, loved ones say they are holding on to hope while urging the community to come forward with any detail that could matter. Authorities are still investigating the case, but answers remain limited. Now, Guthrie’s family believes the breakthrough may lie closer to home than many think.
Nancy Guthrie’s family releases new statement requesting new information
In a heartfelt statement shared through local media outlet News 4 Tucson, Nancy Guthrie’s family called on the Tucson community to help piece together what may have happened in the days surrounding her disappearance. “We are deeply grateful for the outpouring from neighbors, friends and the people of Tucson,” the family said, adding, “We are all family now.”
The family stressed their belief that someone in the community may unknowingly hold important information. “Someone knows something,” they said. “It’s possible a member of this community has information that they do not even realize is significant.” Further, they encouraged people to reflect on specific dates, including January 31, the early hours of February 1, and the evening of January 11. According to the statement, even the smallest detail could prove meaningful. “No detail is too small. It may be the key,” they added.
Their emotional appeal also highlighted the toll the situation has taken. “We miss our mom with every breath,” they wrote, explaining that the uncertainty has made it difficult to grieve. For now, their focus remains on “finding her and bringing her home.”
The renewed call for information comes amid ongoing reports about potential evidence in the case. Some outlets have claimed investigators may have reviewed footage believed to show Guthrie in an Uber shortly before her disappearance. However, these reports have not been independently confirmed, and authorities have not publicly released such a video.
According to those claims, the footage allegedly did not show anything unusual during the ride. Still, if it exists, it could help establish a clearer timeline of Guthrie’s final known movements. So far, the only officially acknowledged video evidence has been surveillance footage showing a masked individual near her home on the night she vanished.
