Why Sue Storm Thinks Doctor Doom Is Innocent in Avengers: Doomsday Reported

A new report about Avengers: Doomsday hints that one major character may view the film’s central villain very differently from everyone else. The rumor suggests Sue Storm could question what is really driving Doctor Doom’s actions in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe installment.

Sue Storm rumored to believe Doctor Doom is innocent in Avengers: Doomsday

A rumor circulating online claims Sue Storm may believe Doctor Doom is not fully responsible for his actions in Avengers: Doomsday.

According to a post from the Marvel scoop account MyTimeToShineHello on X (formerly Twitter), Sue’s perspective could frame Doom differently within the story. The post states, “In Avengers: Doomsday, Sue believes the witches are the reason Doom behaves the way he does. She thinks they’re manipulating him into doing terrible things.”

The information originates from an unverified social media scoop rather than official confirmation from Marvel Studios. The claim suggests Sue Storm may suspect external forces influencing Victor von Doom’s behavior instead of assuming he is acting entirely on his own. If accurate, the rumor implies supernatural manipulation could play a role in the film’s narrative.

Vanessa Kirby portrays Sue Storm, also known as the Invisible Woman, in Avengers: Doomsday. The film features the Fantastic Four lineup, including Reed Richards, Johnny Storm, and Ben Grimm. Robert Downey Jr. plays Victor von Doom, marking his return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a new role.

Avengers: Doomsday is the 39th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and will be released on December 18. Marvel replaced the previously planned Avengers: The Kang Dynasty after removing Jonathan Majors from the franchise following his legal issues. The studio also shifted the film’s main villain from Kang the Conqueror to Doctor Doom.

Anthony and Joe Russo direct the film after previously directing Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame.

Doomsday will lead into Avengers: Secret Wars, scheduled to release next year on December 17.
